|Fullstack or Frontend Developer
My client has built a platform that is making a real difference to the charities industry and we now need a second developer to join them on their exciting journey.
● Developing a revamped frontend for a Ruby on Rails app with a strong voice in design decisions. ● Key member of the development team for a progressive start-up building a groundbreaking platform, with rare opportunity to skill up in a rapidly evolving environment. ● Join a welcoming and talented team which has remote working and flexibility at its core.
You’ll join the team to help drive the development of a platform which is radically innovating the Charitable grants sector. You’ll play an integral role in shaping the success of the platform which has already been hailed as a game changer for the not-for-profit sector.
● You should be confident in delivering work creatively; this might include providing input into initial wireframing & planning user interface workflows, taking precedent from existing UI or design systems. ● As part of a close team, you will be encouraged to have input on a range of issues related to your role and the wider enterprise. ● You should be confident in your ability to work closely with members of the team, challenging decisions and bringing your own skills and expertise to the table. ● It would be beneficial if you have experience with common testing frameworks and any previous work experience in an environment that utilises Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery. ● They are using technologies such as Rails, PostgreSQL, Stimulus, Vue, Sidekiq, ElasticSearch, Stripe, Heroku and AWS so any prior knowledge or experience of any of these would be a bonus. ● Experience integrating with documented third-party APIs to exchange data or kick off workflows would be advantageous. ● Knowledge or prior work experience within the not-for-profit sector, and perhaps be informed about common workflows and the likely CRMs used (such as Salesforce or Blackbaud) would be an advantage.
The role You’ll work closely with the Digital Product Manager, implementing changes to the application based on the expansive roadmap, user feedback and data driven requirements. You’ll have the flexibility and freedom to drive and implement creative solutions, using the tech you enjoy and find interesting. This is a unique role and opportunity, contributing innovation to a sector in need, whilst learning and expanding your technical prowess.
What you’ll get in return
This is a great opportunity to work on a ground-breaking product, developing (or continuing to develop) your skills and driving the vision for the future of the Third Sector.
