Job Description
The successful candidate will become a key player in the Rugged Sales Team based in Basingstoke. They will become the core contact for Panasonic not just within the distribution team but the wider business. They will be responsible for making sure the sales team are fully aware of new products, promotions and training as well as working with the Rugged Business Manager on managing stock. The role whilst based internally may have some external aspect to it by attending shows and external meetings with customers and vendors. It is our expectation that the person will also monitor and co-manage the top 20 resellers with the internal sales account manager ensuring that we are winning business and actively involved with the reseller seeking new opportunities and keeping them up to speed on new products and services from the group. The candidate will be responsible for the following core duties: * Working closely with our sales team to make sure they are fully trained on all products. * Help drive the Panasonic brand both internally with the sales team and externally by working with our marketing team. * Working with the sales support person to provide backorder reports to help the sales account managers update their customers. * Provide monthly sales out reports to Panasonic and BUD. * Arrange QBR’s with Panasonic with agenda points agreed with BUD. Present relevant marketing and sales data. * Keep the internal Panasonic pipeline updated on the entire team’s opportunities. * A quarterly business report will need to be completed for Panasonic to show proof of performance for funding. * Be the main point of contact for Panasonic, working closely with the channel account manager at Panasonic. * Work with the rugged business manager on managing stock levels, if stock is reaching 60 days then a plan of action is in place to help move before reaching 90 days. * Manage and execute quarterly stock rotations. * Managing of demo stock, following guidelines to make sure all processes are followed, and the stock is current and in good order. * Build relationships with all Panasonic KAMs. * Weekly stock ordering and monitoring required to ensure stock availability * Manage credit claims, price support and MDF claims with Panasonic. Ensuring timely payments are received. POC for whole group. * Ensure all CID sales staff are up to date with the Panasonic training courses as and when new products are released. * Implement quarterly marketing campaigns with Panasonic, take ownership that all points are executed, provide de-briefs for all quarterly campaigns. * Managing the portfolio to ensure it is correctly listed on the website with relevant images, specifications and up to date sales pricing. * Ensure the Chairman, CEO and BUD are updated on the Panasonic BER rebate performance * Monitor Techdata - Jarltech stock and pricing via SITC Essential Skills & Experience * Previous experience in product management * Comfortable training others on new products, both internal and external stakeholders * Experience creating and delivering product focused presentations * IT knowledge * High level of organisational skills * Possess the ability to prioritise workload * Excellent communication skills * Willingness to learn * Accuracy and attention to detail
