|Our client is recruiting for a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team in January until April with possible extension.
As part of a team of up to 9 Systems Engineers this role is responsible for the delivery of core server systems technology services to the Trust.
This role has delegated responsibility for key tasks enabling operational continuity and future development of Trust I.T. systems
Awareness is required of local and national initiatives, standards and best practice as well as industry standards such as ISO 17799 and ITIL IT Service Delivery (BS15000).
* To assist the Systems Team Leader in managing the overall maintenance, development and support of all Trust servers and systems in accordance with Trust, industry and national standards with particular reference to ITIL service management standards * Focus on server migrations (2008 and 2008R2 to 2016), SCCM task sequencing, app packaging. Windows 10 group policy optimization and deployment.
* Provide proactive development and management of servers and systems * Implementation of hardware and software upgrades, service packs, patches and hot fixes * Maintenance of access control, version control, security and availability of the servers including external access * Assist with resolution of Service Desk calls and underlying problem diagnosis as appropriate.
Skills & Requirements:
* Enhanced DBS valid within 12 months * Valid UK driving licence * Degree educated * MCSE or equivalent certification * Significant experience in Systems Administration / Engineering with a specialism in Microsoft products * Windows server 2008R2 / 2012R2 / 2016 configuration, administration and recovery * Group Policy administration, creation and recovery * Windows Active Directory configuration, administration and recovery * Excellent knowledge of Scripting / development languages skills e.g. PowerShell * SCCM knowledge, for task sequencing and app packaging/testing * Management of an enterprise VMware environment.
Working Monday-Friday, 9:00-17:00
£15.89 per hour PAYE, inside IR35.
