About the role:
We currently have an opportunity a Senior Systems Analyst. In this role you will develop, implement and continually support business systems. Working with other members of the team / department, you will be involved in the planning, estimating, supervising and monitoring of implementation activities and an effective, robust, transition for all new solutions into business as usual operations.
- Through liaising with users and 3rd parties investigate and resolve medium to high complexity 2nd and 3rd level application functionality related issues, during which provide assistance and advice to business users in the effective use of applications and information technology. Ensure the measures set out in the ICT Service Level Agreement (SLA) are met at all time - Manage small change requests through the full systems life cycle to completion. Including Requirement Gathering, Feasibility Analysis, Specification, Build and Configuration, Testing and UAT, Training, Implementation, Operational Handover and Post Implementation Support - Working as part of a project team, manage the co-ordination and completion of project tasks allocated by a Project Manager. - Assist the Systems Team Leader with the day to day team management of the team in terms of support queue / SLA management, taking ownership of managing critical incidents and providing cover during periods of absence - Creation and amendment of reports ranging medium to high complexity using system inbuilt reporting or external reporting software, i.e. SSRS, Crystal Reports, Oracle BA, SharePoint - Provide training material and deliver or co-deliver training sessions through use of workshops, webinars, one to ones etc. - Document business process and technical user guides to accurately describe customisation of applications and operating procedures - Arrange, prepare and conduct meetings, workshops, training and presentations for a wide variety of audiences
- Educated to 'A' Level (or equivalent) standard - Must possess good analytical skills with the ability to interpret information logically - Strong communication, presentational and written skills with the ability to describe complex issues simply to colleagues at all levels of seniority - Has a systematically and creative minded approach to problem solving whilst working alone and equally as part of a team - Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines whist still producing good quality work - Experienced at gathering requirements and has strong negotiating skill - Experienced at prioritisation of calls - Excels at transferring knowledge through user guides or training - Has basic knowledge of programming code, relational databases, T-SQL or PL / SQL - Able to keep abreast of new technology and is able to learn new systems quickly with little guidance - Exposure to 2nd line support for 1 or more ERP systems covering several modules within i.e. Financials, Procurement, HR etc - Exposure to SharePoint and Business Intelligence products
