An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Junior IT Support Consultant or 1st Line IT Support Analyst to join a talented IT organisation. You will be responsible for fielding and resolving IT support calls from a variety of clients, providing telephone and remote support, escalating calls when required to 2nd/3rd line and managing customers’ hardware via our remote monitoring system. Initially office based, this role has the opportunity to visit customers as you grow in the role naturally becoming more hands on. Your responsibilities will include:
* Provide remote and telephone IT support. * Take ownership of incidents and requests within the helpdesk, resolving them in a timely manner and escalating when required. * Administer Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange, changing passwords, creating and managing user accounts, mailboxes, and groups. * Build, install and configure PCs. * Install and deploy software. * Work with suppliers to resolve support issues. * Perform routine housekeeping tasks to ensure the smooth running of client systems.
The successful Junior IT Support Consultant or 1st Line IT Support Analyst will possess the following experience and skills:
* Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar position. * Excellent telephone manner with written and verbal communication skills. * Some experience with more than one of the following; Microsoft Office, Office 365, Microsoft Active Directory, Windows Server 2008 – 2012R2, Microsoft Exchange 2007 – 2016, Hyper-V, VMware, Sophos, WatchGuard. * Desire to train towards Microsoft Certifications.
