Job Description
Job title: PHP Developer Reporting to: Web Team Leader

Job brief We are looking for a PHP developer who is dedicated to their craft, writes code that they are proud of and can hit the ground running. We need you to write clean, fast PHP to a high standard, in a timely and scalable way that improves the code-base of our systems. You will be a part of a creative team that is responsible for all aspects of ongoing software development from the initial specification, through to developing, testing and launching.

Responsibilities o Making software/schema design decisions that best solve the requirements of the project. o Troubleshoot and maintain existing systems and databases to ensure strong optimisation and functionality o Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle o Follow industry best practices o Develop and deploy new features to facilitate related procedures and tools if necessary

Requirements o Proven software development experience in PHP OOP using popular frameworks - preferably Laravel o Understanding of popular content management systems - preferably Wordpress o Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML 5, CSS 3, Javascript, jQuery and AJAX o An understanding of Gulp, elixir and Bower o Good knowledge of relational databases, version control tools (Git) and of developing web services o Passion for best design and coding practices and open to new technologies and ideas.
