Systems (Business) Analyst Honiton £28,000 - £30,000

This is a new role for this innovative, fast growing, and forward thinking business. Your role will be to understand and document the needs of stakeholders across the business in order to design, develop and deliver new and existing software solutions to meet those needs.

What will the Systems (Business) Analyst involve?

- Manage the development and design of new software solutions by analysing business requirements; studying existing system capabilities; constructing use case diagrams; writing scoping and requirement specifications; analysing and managing risks; developing implementation and training plans - Collate and prioritise stakeholder feedback for existing in-house systems via the relevant product backlog - Be responsible for delivering regular project status updates as well as conducting sprint, demo and retrospective reviews - Work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that enhancements and new developments are delivered on time, to the expected quality and on budget - Provide 3rd line support for the company’s applications (office management CRM / booking system, Office 365 and other bespoke franchise support applications) - Produce and maintain documentation for the company's bespoke IMS applications (including user guides, procedural specs and technical specs) - Be aware of technology advances to make our solutions more beneficial to stakeholders - Provide training for the company's bespoke IMS applications for all staff - Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with Head Office staff, the Franchise Network and 3rd party suppliers - Assist/ provide support for the IT Support Officer in the delivery of IT support for Head Office staff and the Franchise network.

What skills / experience are we looking for in a Business (Systems) Analyst?

Essential

- Experience working as a systems analyst, product owner, business analyst, or in a related field - Ability to analyse and document business processes together with an understanding and an ability to convey the resulting technical requirements and implications - Experience of working in an Agile environment for successful software delivery - Experience of writing functional and technical requirement specifications - Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail - Fluent and effective communicator at all levels - Skilled negotiator able to develop relationships and manage stakeholders within the business and 3rd parties - Experience of supporting users both face to face and remotely, whilst adhering to SLAs - Positive, can-do attitude, with the ability to spot potential obstacles and find appropriate solutions - Ability to work under pressure to deliver projects to agreed deadlines

Desirable

- Recognised Business/ Systems Analyst Qualification (such as ISEB/BCS Diploma in Business Analysis) - Recognised Agile certification such as Scrum Alliance Certified Product Owner - Knowledge of structured analysis methods (e.g. data and process modelling) and tools - Awareness of ITIL practices and processes - An understanding of franchising - Experience working with 3rd party development agencies - Experience working as Agile Product Owner managing a product backlog
